I'm Maxime Sauvet, 38, a running and triathlon coach based in Lille, in the north of France. Endurance sport, and helping people get better at it, is what I do every day.

After a first career managing stores in retail, I retrained in sport and performance, and coaching became my full-time job.

My IRONMAN Certified Coach credential, issued directly by the World Triathlon Corporation, is the world reference for long-distance training. It covers planning over 20 to 40 week cycles, managing training load across three sports and the specific physiology of a full IRONMAN.

I'm also a NASM certified nutrition coach and a certified mental performance coach (LNF), and I hold the French state-recognized fitness instructor qualification (CQP) as well as the Level 3 Fitness Instructor certificate from the Australian College of Sport and Fitness, which I completed while living in Australia.

I race what I coach. I've finished full-distance IRONMAN races in 9:17 and IRONMAN 70.3 races in 4:15, raced the IRONMAN World Championship, and I'm qualified for the 2027 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Chattanooga, USA. I've also run 15 marathons, including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam and Valencia, with a 2:39 personal best at the 2026 Chicago Marathon.

A 9:17 IRONMAN puts you in the top 15% of finishers worldwide, and a 2:39 marathon is a sub-elite time. That experience of racing hard is at the heart of my method: I only coach what I have tested myself, at full intensity.

Today I combine that field experience with the latest sports science to offer personalized online coaching focused on performance in running and triathlon, wherever you live.

Trust comes first. I'm rigorous and demanding, but enjoying the process, sharing what I know and real care for every athlete are part of how I work.

My approach

I offer structured online coaching adapted to your life and your profile, with four goals:

• structure your running and/or triathlon preparation,

• optimize your nutrition and recovery,

• strengthen your mental preparation,

• help you reach your personal goals, step by step and for the long term.

I work with a wide range of athletes: from people who want to finish their first 10K or marathon to athletes chasing an IRONMAN qualification.

In the last three years I've coached more than 125 athletes to their goals, including 70 long-distance finishers (IRONMAN 70.3 and 140.6) and several qualifications for the IRONMAN World Championship. Many of them now travel to race in Europe, which is where our Race + Travel service comes in: with my partner Charline, a French travel planner, we handle your race trip so you only have to run.

My French professional sports coaching license (No. 05926ED0119) is current and verifiable.
