Personalized online running coaching, from 10K to marathon
Getting faster isn't just about running more. Real progress comes from a plan that matches your fitness, your schedule and your goal race, with the right mix of easy running, speed work, long runs and recovery.
As your online running coach, I build that plan for you, adjust it every week and give you daily feedback on your sessions, whether you're training for a 10K at home, a Boston qualifier or the Paris, London or Berlin Marathon.
Initial assessment and runner profile
Every coaching plan starts with a detailed call and questionnaire about your running history, your goals and your weekly schedule.
Your assessment includes:
• a critical speed field test
• an estimate of your threshold pace
• a review of your current training paces
• your injury history
• the weekly volume you can handle
Structured, personalized training plan
From there I build your plan in training blocks leading to race day. Each block has one clear goal: building your aerobic base, raising your threshold, adding speed or race-specific work for your goal distance.
Your plan is designed to:
• trigger the right training adaptations
• respect your recovery
• lower your injury risk
• help you peak on race day
Coaching on TrainingPeaks and fatigue tracking
Your whole plan runs on TrainingPeaks and syncs to your Garmin, COROS, Suunto or Apple Watch, so your training load is always clear.
I regularly review:
• your cumulative training load
• your fatigue markers
• how your paces evolve
• how you feel
• your comments on each session, with daily feedback
That lets me adjust intensity and volume to how you really are, for steady, lasting progress.
Your plan evolves every week with your feedback and your current form.

Running form and race strategy
Performance isn't only about mileage. We also work on:
• your running economy
• cadence and posture, with AI video analysis
• pace control
• your race-day pacing and fueling
These details often make the difference on race day.
Online coaching, wherever you live
Your coaching is 100% online, with a structured plan and regular check-ins by text, email, WhatsApp or video call.
You train where you live, in the US or anywhere else. If your race is in Europe, I also prepare you for the travel, the jet lag and the course.

Your online marathon coach, with a plan built for your race
Running is one of the most accessible sports, but getting faster and staying healthy is another story. Many runners follow a free plan from the internet, run every session at the same pace and end up tired, injured or stuck at the same finish time.
Online running coaching changes that. Your plan is built around your current fitness, your weekly schedule and your goal race, whether it's a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon or a full marathon. Every week combines easy runs to build your aerobic base, workouts at threshold and VO2max pace, a long run and strength training to stay injury-free.
Your training zones come from a critical speed test, not from a generic formula. That's how you know your easy runs are truly easy and your hard sessions are hard enough to make you faster.
You also get daily feedback on your sessions, a plan that changes when your life does and a coach who answers your questions within 24 hours. Whether you want to finish your first marathon, run a PR or chase a Boston qualifying time, you train with purpose from day one.
Running coaching that stays human
Plans and numbers matter, but the relationship between athlete and coach makes the difference. I listen, explain the why behind each session and adapt your plan when motivation drops or doubt creeps in, so you stay on track all the way to the finish line.
Precise analysis
Your plan evolves with your fitness and your schedule.
Steady progress
You improve week after week with a training load matched to your real fitness and your race goals.
Daily feedback
I'm here to answer your questions, every day.
Race-day ready
You reach race day with a clear pacing and fueling strategy.
Many runners I coach later move on to personalized triathlon coaching.

Training for a marathon in Europe with an experienced coach
Running a marathon abroad is a unique experience. The Paris Marathon and the London Marathon in April and the Berlin Marathon in September are among the biggest races in the world, and many American runners also choose Amsterdam, Rome, Valencia, Vienna or Prague.
Racing in Europe brings its own challenges: a long flight, a 6 to 9 hour time difference, a new course and often a morning start that feels like the middle of the night back home. Your marathon training plan takes all of that into account. We adapt your long runs to the course profile, rehearse your race-day fueling and plan your race week, from your flight to your shakeout run. If Paris is your goal, start with my Paris Marathon 2027 guide for American runners.
I've run 15 marathons such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, London,... myself, so I know what it takes to arrive ready.

A marathon training plan for your first marathon or a Boston qualifier
Whether you're training for your first marathon or chasing a Boston qualifying time, the principles are the same: build your aerobic base, raise your threshold, practice marathon pace and taper well. What changes is the dose. Your marathon coach sets the right volume and intensity for your level, typically over 16 to 20 weeks.
Your plan also covers strength training, race-day fueling and pacing, the three things most runners neglect and the ones that most often decide the last 10K of a marathon. I explain exactly how in my guide on how to avoid hitting the wall in your marathon.
Half marathon and 10K coaching
Not every goal is a marathon. Half marathon training and 10K training use more speed work and shorter long runs, and they're perfect goals to learn how to train with structure. Many runners I coach start with a 10K or a half, set a PR, then move up to the marathon with confidence.
Why choose me as your running coach
I'm Maxime Sauvet, a French running and triathlon coach certified by IRONMAN University. I've run 15 marathons, including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona and Amsterdam, with a 2:39 personal best at the 2026 Chicago Marathon, and I've coached more than 125 athletes to their finish line. My coaching is 100% online, with daily feedback and a plan that respects your work and family life.
