PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website or work with us, how we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), French data protection law and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
1. Who we are
The data controller is Maxime SAUVET, online running and triathlon coach, sole trader registered in France, 41 avenue Marcel Henaux, 59350 Saint-André-lez-Lille, France. Email: maxime.sauvet.coaching@gmail.com
2. Information we collect
When you fill in the intake form or contact us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your goal race, your running or triathlon background, your training availability, whether you are interested in Race + Travel, and anything else you choose to tell us.
When you become a coaching client: the training data you share with us through TrainingPeaks and your connected devices (workouts, pace, heart rate, power and similar data), your feedback on sessions, and any health-related information you choose to share, such as injuries or medical clearance.
For billing: your name, email address, billing address and invoice details. Payments are processed by our bank, Qonto, and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.
When you browse the website: technical data such as your browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies by our website platform, Wix.
3. How we use your information and on what legal basis
We use your information to answer your request and prepare your free consultation (steps taken at your request before a contract), to provide your coaching (performance of our contract), to issue invoices and keep accounting records (legal obligation), and to improve the website (legitimate interest or, where required, your consent).
Health-related information is only used to adapt your training safely, and only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
If you ask for Race + Travel, we share your name, contact details and trip needs with our partner travel planner, Charline (The French Travel Planner), so she can prepare your trip. She then processes this information as an independent controller under her own privacy policy.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We only share it with the service providers we need to run our business, which process it on our behalf: Wix (website hosting), Typeform (intake form), TrainingPeaks (training platform), Qonto (banking, invoicing and payments), and the email, messaging and video call tools you choose to use with us. We may also disclose information when required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located in the United States or other countries outside the European Union. When your data is transferred outside the EU, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your information
Inquiries and prospect data: up to 3 years after our last contact. Client data: for the duration of the coaching and up to 3 years after it ends. Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by French law.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. California residents can review and request changes to the personal information we hold about them in the same way.
To exercise these rights, email maxime.sauvet.coaching@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. You can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
8. Cookies and Do Not Track
The website uses cookies needed for it to work and, where applicable, cookies that measure its audience. You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. We do not track you across third-party websites. Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available on this page with its "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes, we will inform our clients by email.
12. Contact
